Grant is a self-described colorist — someone who has always found something deeply satisfying in the way colors and shapes can be arranged. Whether in his sneakers, his digital art, or the characters he builds in video games, color has always been his medium. When he discovered abstract painting through New York City’s museums, it felt like a natural home. The freedom of abstract painting, where each work encourages the viewer to receive what they want from the organization of those colors and shapes.
Once he began painting with acrylics, he never really stopped. Each work carries something personal — shaped, in no small part, by the unwavering support of the people who have always encouraged him to be exactly who he is.
Wide open landscapes and the pulse of city streets — natural vistas from volcanic peaks to valley floors, and the urban geometry of skylines, neighborhoods, and coastlines in between.
